PROMOTING FRENCH LANGUAGE & CULTURE

The Alliance Française of Enugu is a Nigerian non-for-profit institution dedicated to the promotion of French language and francophone cultures, and to the promotion of cultural diversity. Based in Enugu, the Alliance Française of Enugu offers French classes for all kinds of audiences, as well as professional translation services for private and corporate needs. It also offers a variety of cultural events such as exhibitions, screenings and concerts all year long.

Yes. A registration fee is compulsory for all new students and is valid for one year.
What types of online classes are available?

Do you offer weekend or evening classes?
Yes. We offer flexible scheduling options, including: • Morning, afternoon, and evening classes • Saturday-only programmes • Private/tailored lessons upon request
Can I switch between online and onsite classes?
Yes. Students are allowed to switch modes depending on availability and convenience. • How long does it take to reach B2 level in French? On average, it takes about 8 to 9 months of consistent study to reach B2 level, depending on your learning pace and session attendance.
What is DELF/DALF?
DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are internationally recognised French proficiency certificates issued by the French Ministry of Education.
When am I eligible to take the DELF exam?
You may take the DELF exam after completing the corresponding level: • DELF A1 – after A1.2 • DELF A2 – after A2.2 • DELF B1 – after B1.2 • DELF B2 – after B2.2 • DALF C1 or C2 – after completing the C1 or C2 level
Are DELF/DALF certificates useful for study or work abroad?
Yes. These certificates are accepted by universities, immigration services, and employers in countries such as France, Canada, Belgium, and Switzerland.
Can I take the DELF/DALF exams at Alliance Française Enugu?
Yes. Alliance Française Enugu is an accredited DELF/DALF exam centre.
Can I take the TEF or TCF exams at your centre?
Currently, we do not host TEF or TCF exams, but we offer comprehensive preparation courses and guidance on where to register.
• Do students receive certificates at the end of a session?
Yes. All students receive a certificate of participation upon course completion. Official certificates such as DELF/DALF are only issued after passing the relevant exams.
Are DELF/DALF certificates valid for life?
Yes. DELF and DALF certificates do not expire.
Do you offer translation services?
Yes. We provide certified translation services for documents such as academic transcripts, birth/marriage certificates, and professional documents.
Do you offer interpretation services?
Yes. We offer professional interpretation services for meetings, workshops, and conferences.
Do you offer corporate training?
Absolutely. We design customised French and German training programmes for companies, embassies, NGOs, and schools.
Do you have a library?
Yes. Our multimedia library is open to students and the public. It offers books, magazines, films, and digital resources in French and German.
How can I use the library?
Library access is included in your registration. Non-students may subscribe for a nominal annual fee to enjoy borrowing privileges and reading space.
Can I rent the library space for private study or meetings?
Yes. Upon request and availability, the library can be reserved for group study sessions or small meetings.
Can I rent a hall or space for events?
Yes. We offer venue rentals for seminars, workshops, exhibitions, film screenings, and cultural events.
How do I book a hall or event space?
Kindly contact our front desk or send us an email. Pricing depends on the event type, duration, and facilities required.
Can I continue my studies if I studied at another Alliance Française?
Yes. Please provide your previous certificate or transcript for placement in the appropriate level.
Can children enrol in your classes?
Yes. We offer age-appropriate French classes for children and teenagers, including after-school programmes and holiday camps.
What are your payment methods?

Do you offer home tutoring?
Yes. We offer private, personalised tutoring at home, online, or onsite, based on your schedule.
Do your certificates expire?
Participation certificates from our centre do not expire. DELF/DALF certificates are valid for life.
