DELF & DALF are diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education to prove the French-language skills of non-French candidates. The agency France Éducation International is in charge of the certifications for the Ministry.
DELF & DALF diplomas are required for the entry in the Higher Education in France (B2 level) and for application for French citizenship (B1 level).
E-TEF Canada is directed to candidates who want to assess their level of proficiency in French for immigration applications to Canada, or Québec, or for Canadian citizenship application. It is recognized by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and the Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities (MICC) in Québec as an official proof of language proficiency. It is an assessment and proof of your French language proficiency at the time you take the test, and it is valid for two years.
Test de Connaissance du Français for Canadian Immigration, TCF CANADA is intended for anyone 16 years of age or over, regardless of their nationality or native tongue, needing to certify their level of French as part of the procedures for economic immigration to Canada or for obtaining Canadian citizenship. Therefore, the applicant must file a case with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
